ABOUT BRERA, MILAN

Brera is the old artists' quarter north of Milan's centre, home to the Pinacoteca di Brera and the Accademia di Belle Arti. Its streets are narrow and cobbled, lined with galleries, small restaurants and courtyards. Milan still runs trams through the historic centre, among them the Class 1500 cars first built in 1928, still in daily service. Spring and autumn evenings are the time to walk it.

The print is Brera at golden hour: an orange tram on wet rails, crimson ivy on the façades, two people under one umbrella, the Duomo at the end of the street. It suits a couple who met in Milan, a student of the Accademia, or anyone who prefers a city on foot. Giclée-printed on Hahnemühle German Etching, available unframed, on canvas or framed, delivered free.
