Paris Wall Art: Two Illustrated Prints and How to Choose
UPDATED · 5 NOVEMBER 2026
ENVOL makes two illustrated Paris art prints: the Eiffel Tower from the Trocadéro and a café terrace in Saint-Germain. Both are set in late October, painted in a gouache-and-oil style and giclée-printed to order on Hahnemühle German Etching. This guide is for anyone looking for Paris wall art, a Paris art print or a Paris poster: which of the two to choose, what size, which finish and which room.
Which Paris print should I choose?
Choose by the Paris you want to keep: the landmark or the street.
- —[Paris Trocadéro](/collections/the-cities/paris-trocadero): the view from the terrace of the Palais de Chaillot, straight across the Seine to the Eiffel Tower. Roasted chestnuts on the balustrade, a black Citroën DS on the quai, the river gone copper in the last October light, the tower the colour of rust. For a proposal in Paris, a year spent there, or a promise to go back.
- —[Paris Saint-Germain](/collections/the-cities/paris-saint-germain): one table on the Left Bank after the rain. Red wine, an open notebook, a waiter in black, the plane trees turned gold. For a writer, a reader, or anyone who once lived in a small Paris flat.
The short answer: the Trocadéro reads from across a room, Saint-Germain rewards a closer look. For the Paris everyone knows, take the tower. For one person's Paris, take the table.
Which room suits which print?
- —Living room, above a sofa: Paris Trocadéro. The tower gives a wide wall one strong vertical line.
- —Dining room or kitchen: Paris Saint-Germain. A table on the wall, in a room where people sit down.
- —Study or home office: Paris Saint-Germain. The open notebook belongs above a desk.
- —Entrance or hallway: Paris Trocadéro. It is recognised in passing, without stopping.
- —Bedroom: either. Both are built on amber and copper tones that sit well in lamplight.
- —A pair: the two together, landmark and street. They share a month and a palette, so they hang as one idea.
What size Paris print do I need?
Both prints come in portrait in 30×45, 40×60, 50×75, 60×90 and 70×100 cm (canvas goes to 75×100 cm). Landscape is available in 30×45, 40×60 and 50×75 cm.
- —30×45 cm: a shelf, a desk wall or a small hallway.
- —40×60 cm: above a sideboard or a desk, or beside a bed. The safe choice if you are unsure.
- —50×75 cm: above a sofa, a bed or a fireplace.
- —60×90 or 70×100 cm: a long wall or a large living room, where the print is the main event.
Above furniture, aim for about two-thirds of the furniture's width, using a group if a single print falls short. The art print size guide has worked examples for sofas, beds and hallways.
Portrait is the natural choice for the Eiffel Tower. Landscape suits a low wall or a wide sideboard.
Paper, canvas or framed?
- —Fine art print: giclée on Hahnemühle German Etching 310 gsm, a textured, matte, archival paper. Unframed, shipped rolled in a protective tube. The right choice if you have a framer, or want to match frames you already own.
- —Canvas: 400 gsm canvas on 38 mm bars, ready to hang. No glaze, so no reflections in a bright room.
- —Framed print: giclée on 200 gsm fine art paper behind an acrylic glaze, with a white mount, in eight frame colours. It arrives ready for the wall. On a painted wall, white and light grey stay quiet; black or dark grey gives more contrast; gold suits a more formal room.
Each image can be ordered titled, with the place name at the foot, or clean. In a Paris apartment, clean is often the better choice.
Are these posters or photographs?
Neither. "Paris poster" is what most people search for, but these are giclée prints in pigment inks on archival paper. Every image is an illustration, not a photograph and not a reproduction of an old poster. Each scene is conceived and art-directed by hand, then rendered with AI image tools, retouched and upscaled for print. The full process is in how an ENVOL print is made.
Other cities: Milan and London
The Cities has six prints, two per city, all in the same late October. If Paris is not the place, or you want a second city beside it:
- —[Milan Galleria](/collections/the-cities/milan-galleria): rain on the vault, amber on the marble, an espresso, the Duomo through the arch.
- —[Milan Brera](/collections/the-cities/milan-brera): an orange tram at golden hour, wet rails, one umbrella for two.
- —[London Westminster](/collections/the-cities/london-westminster): the Embankment at dusk, a black cab and a red bus on the bridge, the tower lit gold.
- —[London Mayfair](/collections/the-cities/london-mayfair): a cobbled mews, wisteria gone gold, a burgundy saloon on the wet stones.
The Cities set of three pairs Paris Trocadéro with Milan Galleria and London Westminster: one unframed 30×45 cm print of each, with 10% off applied automatically.
