ABOUT SAINT-TROPEZ
Saint-Tropez is a former fishing port on the Var coast of the Côte d'Azur, at the tip of a peninsula on the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Painters came first, Paul Signac among them at the end of the 19th century; the 1956 film Et Dieu… créa la femme, with Brigitte Bardot, made it famous worldwide. The old port is lined with pastel houses and cafés under the bell tower of the parish church, and in summer it fills with yachts and varnished wooden boats such as the Italian Riva. June and September are the calmer months.
The print is the old port at golden hour: a Riva at the quay, the harbour skyline lit orange behind it. It suits someone who spends summers on the Riviera, a lover of classic boats, or anyone who still dreams in 1960s colour. Giclée-printed on Hahnemühle German Etching, available unframed, on canvas or framed, delivered free.
