ABOUT MONACO
Monaco is a sovereign city-state on the Côte d'Azur, between Nice and the Italian border, and the second-smallest country in the world. The Monte-Carlo Casino, on its terrace above the sea, is home to the Salle Garnier opera house, designed by Charles Garnier, architect of the Paris Opéra. Below it lies Port Hercule, the main harbour, and around it the streets used each spring for the Monaco Grand Prix, run since 1929. Evenings in late spring and early autumn are mild and less crowded than August.
The print shows the casino terrace at dusk, the harbour below filled with silver hulls, the principality lit up against the hill. It suits someone who goes for the Grand Prix, a yacht crew, or anyone with a weakness for the Riviera after dark. Giclée-printed on Hahnemühle German Etching, available unframed, on canvas or framed, delivered free.
