ABOUT POSITANO
Positano is a village on the Amalfi Coast, in the province of Salerno in southern Italy, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site that has covered the coast since 1997. Its houses climb almost vertically from the Spiaggia Grande beach, with the majolica-tiled dome of the church of Santa Maria Assunta at the bottom. John Steinbeck wrote of it in 1953 that it "bites deep". It is reached by the coast road or by boat, and May, June and September are the best months.
The print shows the village as it is seen from the water: pastel walls climbing the cliff, every terrace turned to the sea. It suits someone who honeymooned in Positano, an Italophile, or anyone who still talks about one perfect week in June. Giclée-printed on Hahnemühle German Etching, available unframed, on canvas or framed, delivered free.
