ABOUT MYKONOS
Mykonos is one of the Cyclades islands in the Aegean Sea, Greece. Its main town, Chora, is a maze of whitewashed houses, chapels and narrow lanes, swept in summer by the meltemi, the strong north wind of the Aegean. On the ridge above the harbour stands the row of windmills known as Kato Mili, once used to grind grain, with the waterfront houses of Little Venice below them. Late May, June and September offer the light without the August crowds.
The print reduces the island to its essentials: white walls, windmills and an endless blue, in the hard Cycladic light that strips everything back. It suits someone who spent a summer in the Greek islands, a couple who married there, or anyone who wants a white wall to feel like July. Giclée-printed on Hahnemühle German Etching, available unframed, on canvas or framed, delivered free.
